nVenia’s HAMER Brand: Leader in Wood Pellet Bagging Technology

07/07/2015

nVenia's HAMER Brand has been at the forefront of wood pellet bagging technology as the pellet fuels industry continues its impressive growth trend in North America.

According to Pellet Mill magazine, there are 168 wood pellet producers in the U.S. and 50 in Canada, with a combined total production capacity of almost 15 million short tons/year.

This capacity is expected to grow over the next few years, with another 4.3 (+29%) short tons currently under construction in the U.S./Canada; and another 8.1 (+54%) short tons under proposal.

It is estimated that about 20% of the pellets are exported to Europe. Although many of the exports to Europe ship bulk, pellet producers are finding that it might be more economical to bag the product right in their facilities before exporting. Pellets are ideal for bagging as they are nice, solid pieces with little to no dust, powder or moisture, making it a clean and efficient process.

nVenia's HAMER Brand is an expert in bagging technology and offers equipment perfectly engineered to handle the wood pellet bagging process. From a simple hand bagging setup to fully automated systems, our team will work with you to create the desired level of automation in your plant for your bagging and palletizing processes.

Why is nVenia the best equipment solution for wood pellets?

As an expert in the bagging industry, we account for a significant market share of the industrial horizontal form, fill & seal machines currently in use today.

HAMER Brand equipment is robustly built and engineered to be easy to use, minimize wear parts, and eliminate operator interaction. For automated pellet bagging, we recommend the highly accurate 600NW Net Weigh bagging scale combined with our Model 2090 horizontal Form, Fill & Seal industrial bagging machine.

This FFS machine has proprietary technology in critical machine components which has radically improved machine running time and reduced annual maintenance costs. With its durability, ease of use, speed and versatility, it is the most reliable horizontal FFS packaging system available, with packaging rates up to 22-23 bags per minute when combined with a robotic palletizing system.
