Corrosion Resistant Net Weighing Solutions for Chemical Bagging Lines

07/31/2017

Bagging chemicals such as fertilizers, salt, calcium chloride, ice melt, and metal oxides with high corrosive properties can cause excessive wear and tear on your net weigh scale.

The nVenia HAMER Brand 600NW+ Stainless Steel net weigh bagging scales are specifically designed for use in corrosive and wash down bagging environments. Available in a 304 stainless steel construction on the main scale assembly, and 304 or 316 stainless steel on contact parts and other components, the 600NW+ SS series is designed to deliver optimum bagging speed and consistency.

Stainless Steel has chromium which adds significant benefits in corrosive environments. 316 stainless goes even further with the incorporation of about 2 to 3 percent molybdenum. The addition increases corrosion resistance, particularly against chlorides and other industrial solvents.

Stainless steel scales are vital in bagging operations where durability, and ease of cleaning and maintenance are important. Because stainless steel is highly resistant to pitting and maintains a smooth surface even under years of heavy industrial use, the long-life cycle and lowered maintenance and repair costs of the 600NW+ SS scales make them a cost-effective option for bagging operations requiring a corrosive resistant solution.

All 600NW+ scales support a wide variety of open mouth bag types, including pillow style and side gusseted paper, poly, and poly woven laminated bags, and easily integrate with Vertical and Horizontal Form, Fill & Seal machines, as well as automatic bag hangers.
