Caspian Sulphure Company LLP located in the Republic of Kazakhstan selected Hamer as their supplier after an extensive world search for the most reliable, durable and accurate bagging scale. They bag a unique flaked sulfur that is shipped across Russia for use in a variety of applications including chemical fertilizer. Currently Caspian Sulphure uses a duplex net weigh scale design that was introduced in the 1980’s and built for the seed and feed market. It was not capable of withstanding the corrosive nature of sulfur and the gasses produced as a by product. It also was not built to withstand the day-in and day-out demands of bagging 50KG bags. Their engineering and management team initiated a search for replacement products in 2010. The list of performance requirements was extensive as the replacement product not only needed to stand up to the environment, but keep working 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Located in a remote corner of Kazakhstan availablity of service and parts support from an international supplier has proven difficult.
After reviewing several net weigh scale designs from Europe and the United States Caspian Sulpher selected the Hamer Model 600NW due to it’s truely industrial design The Model 600NW uses a heavy duty 2″ steel frame, 2″ weigh frame, steel re-enforced weigh bucket doors and many other innovations that make it stand out as the most heavily built scale available. For their specific application Caspian Sulpher selected duplex servo controlled gravity feed scales buit of 304 stainless steel and a 304 stainless steel dust tight bag spout. The scale prompts operators in their native Russian language to make scale operation easy.
